Immense selected to take part in HS2 innovation accelerator initiative
Last week it was announced that Immense had been chosen as one of five companies to take part in the 5th round of HS2’s successful Innovation Accelerator programme.
The initiative, which is now in its fifth cohort, includes five companies who will harness the power of Artificial Intelligence to help drive smooth delivery of design changes across the construction phase of the HS2 programme.
Immense will be using its AI-based strategic and operational transport planning tool to de-risk the effects of works traffic on local road networks. The technology can also help to plan for the future effects that HS2 stations could have on traffic movements in surrounding areas.
Dr Robin North, CEO and Co-Founder of Immense said: “Immense are delighted to join this HS2 accelerator cohort with Connected Places Catapult. Its an exciting opportunity for our simulations to provide increased agility and assurance to HS2 decisions and ultimately to help minimise impacts during design and construction and maximise benefits in operation.“
The other four companies taking part in the accelerator alongside Immense include, Silicon Microgravity, EHAB, Consequence and Mafic.
