Frequently asked questions

Can you really do it in hours not weeks?

Our powerful simulation engine, hosted in the cloud, runs at 36 x real time. Additionally, our data pipelines and technology, allows us to build and validate models in weeks, rather than months.

Where do you get your data from?

We get data from public available sources, and our trusted data partners. We have built data pipelines to be able to pull data and refresh our traffic models so they reflect the latest network conditions.

How easily can I upgrade my package?

Very easily. Please let us know you would like to do so by talking to your Account Manager, or by contacting us. A member of our team will be in touch to discuss the details.

Who can use the Immense platform?

Anyone. You don’t need specific transport modelling skills or data anlysis background to be able to use it. It has been designed for everyone, and we always welcome feedback on how we can make it better for you! And for the more complex stuff, our experienced team is here to help!

How do you build your traffic models?

We follow DfT’s TAG guidelines to build and calibrate/validate our traffic simulation models. For each curated model we provide Quality Assurance reports describing the main statistics and the quality level of the model.

What’s the simulation engine you use?

We use our own mesoscopic simulation engine. We’ve built it in house, and validated it with research partners throughout the years, such as Transport for London, National Highways, Oxfordshire County Council.

What our users say

Christine Urry

Removing the complexity and delay associated with traditional traffic modelling to enable quick and informed decision making as part of the Council’s Streetworks function. Road works are part of our day to day lives, whether providing essential utility services to residents and businesses or improving the condition of the roads. Immense allows us to better understand the impacts and opportunities to mitigate the effects of major works on our network, particularly within our larger towns”.
